Back at one of our regular Peak District spots for the National Trust tasked with stopping track erosion and fixing a constant stream running down the site access track. The constant flow of water was causing the track to rut and become impassable for some vehicles.

We installed gcl’s gravel grid and laid 40mm to dust (mot/dt type 1 803 graded) stone into them to help retain the stone from winter rains washing the stone away.

We then located the blocked drain and opened it up so we could inspect/rod and jet the old stone sough/suff drain and get it running again. Curing a problem that had plagued the campsite for a number of years.

This job was made trickier by the remoteness of the campsite meaning everything had to be double handled from a site a mile away and brought in by dumper. Shuttling the machine between loading in the compound and laying out the stone.
